Therapy Dog
Her name is Mystique's Queen Victoria, bred by Gayln Bratcher, Desiree Labs.  We call her just Victoria.  She is intelligent, intuitive, soft, huggable, gentle, and obedient.  She gives kisses only when asked.  Victoria is also a Touch Dog through Support Dogs, Inc. in St. Louis, MO.  She holds her Canine Good Citizen's award through the American Kennel Club.

Therapy dogs are only brought in to sessions if patients ask for them.  They can and do play a large part in therapy.  They are attuned to the emotional content of the session, and are always watchful even when they appear to be resting.  They are non-judgmental and accepting.  They work well with children and bring a calmness  to the sessions by just being there.

Therapy dogs and Touch Dogs work with a handler who has been trained to work specifically with the dog.  Therefore, the
dog and handler work as a team.
